My Story
I am a wife, mother, grandmother and busy lady. I was born needing to be creative and I found myself in professions that allowed me to express and use my God given talents. It also provided me with a schedule where I could be involved with my son and daughter’ lives. Whether I was pursuing my ideas through my own business as an interior designer, or working alongside my husband building beautiful homes, I found teaching and writing was always a passion and whether it was design classes or bible studies I loved the preparation and study.

From the Heart of a Young Mother………….❤
Tonight, after the house finally grew quiet and the last of the laughter down the hall, I found myself alone enjoying the lights on my Christmas tree. A cup of hot cider warmed my hands, but it was the soft twinkle of the lights that warmed my heart.
As I sat there, I thought about how easy it is to get lost in the wrapping paper, the rushing, the recipes, and the endless to-do lists. Yet in this stillness, I felt gently reminded of why we celebrate at all.
I remembered a manger… a young mother holding her newborn Son… and a quiet night long ago that changed the world. I whispered a prayer that my family would carry that story—not just on our ornaments or in our carols—but in our daily lives. That our home would shine with the same light that filled the world on that Holy Night.
Christmas isn’t just a date on the calendar; it’s a reminder of God stepping into our ordinary world with extraordinary love. And as I watched the lights twinkle, I felt renewed hope to keep the story of Christ’s birth alive in our home—through gratitude, kindness, and the way we love one another.
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” — (Luke 2:11)

The Crazy Christmas Season is getting close..............
🎄 Christmas with family is always an adventure—one minute you’re peacefully sipping hot chocolate, the next you are trying to get kids pictures with Santa for your Christmas Cards, and the next you’re in a heated debate about whether the tree looks “festively full” or “aggressively lopsided.” 😂
May your holidays be filled with God's love, cookies, and a tree that only falls over once. 🎁🤣

A Lesson in Joy from the Children...............
There’s something sacred about the sound of children laughing. It echoes freedom — not just from responsibility, like the ones adults carry every day: bills, news headlines, future plans, fears, regrets, finances. Children aren’t thinking about next week’s schedule, or what the world might look like in five years. They are completely absorbed in the now — in the game, the giggle, the wonder of a mud puddle, or the thrill of chasing butterflies.
Watch a child play and you’ll see the art of “presence” in its purest form. They don’t need a plan. They don’t need rules. They don’t need us to tell them how to play, how to build sandcastles on the beach, or how to make a fort from limbs and sticks. They just need space — and permission — to be.
We must protect our children from harm but it’s hard not to intervene with words like: “Play nicely,” “Do it this way,” “Be careful.” But maybe the greatest gift we can give our children is to simply let them lead — to let their imaginations run wild where there are no deadlines and no expectations. Just joy.
And maybe, just maybe, in doing so, we find our own way back— to simplicity, to laughter, to creativity, to God.
Jesus himself saw something divine in a child’s perspective.
(Matthew 18:3)…..“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Not because children are naive, but because they truly know how to trust. They live in the moment free of worries. They laugh freely. They love without condition. They don’t ask what’s next — they enjoy what is.
So today, if you get the chance, sit beside your child in the dirt, or on the floor surrounded by toys. Don’t direct. Don’t correct. Just be there. Let them remind you of what it means to live fully — not in yesterday or tomorrow, but here.
In this moment.
With joy.
With laughter.
With no worries at all.
